Pinterest Item #4 the Man Shirt Apron, I love this, I dug through the closet and took the shirt I never should of bought from the thrift store and started cutting. I layed an apron on top to get the idea of the size I wanted. Cut bandana into strips to use as binding tape on the cut edges. Sewed side seams and added ties.
My sister is the sewer not me, but "Lookey here Lori I did it" and all it cost me was a spool of read thread. Thanks to @Jill Gabrels.

DIY Photo on Wood This is my first sample, I made a small one because I have to admit I was skeptic but dog-gone it, it worked. I must of watched the original artist @crystalshea youtube video 4 times trying to make sure to do this right. One mistake was to let the wood block dry in-between rubbing off the paper and applying the mod podge. I had to re-wet it and then paint the mod podge. I tryed to get fancy on my sample and messed it up a bit, but now I know better. I also learned in the rubbing off of the paper, not to rub to hard, I am missing a bit of my husbands forehead.
So thanks to @Debra Walley and @Kelsey Price for making the first pins so it could get to me!

Now this post is becoming Item's' I made from Pinterest. I just made the scarves after watching the link thepinkpeonyoflejardin.blogspot.com Very easy and who doesn't have t-shirts to recycle? Thanks #TracyLynn for the idea. The red and white one is perfect for Christmas or playing "Where's Waldo" I'm searching my closets now for every t-shirt I can recycle.

I have scanned the pins on www.Pinterest.com then found it, the same letter "M" that I have in my bedroom. I even had mine painted black. I quickly took it down and began to find the photos that I would use for my "M". I had to copy some of them a few times to get the size correct for the width of the letter. As I got the last pictures I realized I had a few spots not filled as well, so I ran to walmart and bought a $1.99 bag of black and white buttons to fill in the spots. So thank you to www.somewhatsimple.com for the idea and all the ladies who pinned it before me, I hope to see your initial after it is finished.

Fifty One Cent Pumpkins

You may have all the ingredients for the fifty one cent pumpkins. I had rafia, [fall leaves I picked off a wreath, and the stems are from a branch off my mesquite tree - any tree branch will do] Orange paint, sandpaper, a miter saw and drill [I own] and I spent fifty one cents on a scrap 2" x 4" piece at Home Depot.

The toughest part was sawing through the 2" with my miter saw, you might want to use a better saw, I counted it as arm exercises for the day. Cut the pieces any size for your pumpkins. Paint orange, drill hole for stem. tie rafia bow with fall leaf.

Lori's Alphabet

This wall has all letters in our last name, plus the first letter of each first name. The little wheely one is for my grandson- my son-in-law is a hunter so his is camouflauge, and I will be adding one for our new little granddaughter soon!

Twine Pears

I saw some cute pears at Pottery Barn for a very high price. This is my version. The forms came from the cheap bins at Michaels- they have or had apples also. I wrapped them with cheap twine from the dollar store. I covered the pear with tacky glue as I went, so I could wrap them while I watched mindless TV.

More School Bulletin Boards

These are some cute pumpkins my class made. First they painted the pumpkin shape, then added the faces. One problem with 5 years olds is if they still have paper they keep going- even when it looks done. I saw them on pinterest @http://www.flickr.com/photos/artsyt/5102556647/in/pool-1670102@N21/

These are my favorite pumpkins. I have done them for years. I start by having the kids paint stripes on yellow paper. I usually use orange and then outline them with black chunky yarn. We ran out of black, so one year I used orange yarn, then we ran out of that and I used brown( not so cute).
Well, we are down to only a few colors- so I tried bright blue or bright pink to match the yarn. The pink kind of looks orangie, but the still look pretty cute.
After they paint the stripes I draw a pumpkin outline. Then they made faces and outlined with glue. They were able to outline it by themselves with a little guidance ( I had a parent helper).

The Bulletin Board Lady

I had the fun chance to work with a few teachers at the school that hosted our church plant. Mr. Bedford let Barb Ellis and me come to his class and have a fun craft hour with the students and then decorate his bulletin board. One day as we decorated his board the teacher across the hall came out, and then the teacher kitty-korner came over, by the time we left that day we had decorated all the boards in Mr. Bedfords hallway.

He loved it, the kids had fun and so did we! He usually told us an idea, and let us just go crafty with it. We got some of the ideas by googling bulletin boards then adapted them to the boards you see here.
My sister the teacher would love for someone to come help with bulletin boards, so if you live in Apple Valley send her a message and if you live in Scottsdale I'm ready to come over. I have a few more I'll post them as soon as I find the file they are in.

Ribbon Scraps

I ended up with several ribbon scraps after decorating for a baby shower and took the extra pieces tied them around a vase that holds the pink unity candle from my wedding and it sits in my bathroom and I see it everyday.

Mirror, Mirror on the wall

I received the first mirror from my sister-in-law Sherri.  She decoupaged copies of hymnal songs and sheet music.  Lori liked it so much she made one for herself.  It was very easy to make.
1.  Zerox copies of hymnal or sheet music.
2.  Layout the pattern how you like it best.
3.  Decoupage by painting front and back of paper so it is pliable to work around the border and edges of your mirror frame.
4.  Let Dry.
5.   Dry brush with a little glaze to add aging if you like
6.  Add a coat of clear matte or shiny gloss.
7.  Hang and maybe clean the glass more often than Lori and I do.

Cindy's Church Paintings

 I often paint during the message at our church service.  I think God can use all forms of worship including creating a painting on a blank canvas while the Preacher is speaking.  The first few times my husband just thought no one was paying attention to him but as they listened to the message about relationships I painted a tree growing intertwined.  During the disciples on the rocky seas I painted a boat with lots of waves. Christmas was easy...JOY. I actually painted it over the 3 messages. Each painting went with the message of the day and I actually painted over several of them before Lynette ( a lady at my church asked me to stop doing that). I'm not sure which is my favorite although the hope painting was the first and kind of special to me.

Lori's Cool Letter Chair

I bought letters whenever I saw them on sale- Michaels, JoAnns.  I used a lot but only to get different sizes and I used the leftovers for other things.  There is a dollar section at JoAnns- alot are from there- they were colored.  I glued them on with  tacky glue- thick.  The chair is an old church chair.  Then I spray painted the whole thing- Rustoleum- Satin_- almond.  I have all my kids names spelled out in areas.  I found some tiny ones at Big Lots which helped fill in the cracks.  The idea came from one of the 100 DIY magazines.  I saw one online that used the foam letters that come in the big tub- haven't tried it but might.

The Teacher and the Preacher's Wife

My sister and I have been blonde all our lives and sometimes blonde with a little help.  We have also been crafty all our lives. Painting, sewing, wood craft, copying the best ideas we see.
Every room of the house you can see the stuff we have made, created, copied from other crafters that have blazed the trail for us.  Here we will post some of our best stuff. We'll let you know where we saw the idea first, and how we adapted it for our use. Really were just trying to get some stuff pinned on www.pinterest.com
Lori is the Teacher. She teaches kindergarten in Apple Valley and starts each day with a diet coke. No coffee for her and her husband is the manager of a Starbucks.

Cindy is the Preacher's wife. Always creating for the next event, activity, kids classroom decor idea to make learning fun for our church.  Stage decor, painting during a message is a form of worship for me. Designing worship folders, background slides. Website stuff and event invitations are a creative outlet for me.  I can see an idea and figure out how to make my own version of it, and if possible make it out of PVC pipe.
